DATE: Saturday, November 4, 2017.

AVA EVENT NUMBER: 108460. One event.

START/FINISH LOCATION: Kennedy Park, Tucson, AZ.

DIRECTIONS: Kennedy Park, 3700 S. La Cholla Blvd. The park is at the intersection of Ajo Way and La Cholla Blvd. If you are on Ajo Way, turn right onto La Cholla. Take the 2nd left turn into the park. Ramada 34 will be the first one on your right. Due to the construction on I-19 at Ajo Way you cannot exit there. Take I-19 south to exit 89 (Irvington). Go right (west) one mile to Mission Rd. Turn right (north) on Mission one mile to Ajo Way. Turn left 0.5 mile to La Cholla. Take the second left into Kennedy Park. Ramada 34 is the first one on the right.

START/FINISH TIME: Start: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Finish by 2:00 pm.


TRAIL DESCRIPTION: This walk is mostly on desert trails in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains. The trails are well maintained, however there are parts that are rocky. Similar to the walk from Coyote Pause. Like the route from Coyote Pause, the 10 has an uphill section to scenic views of the Tucson valley. Trail rating 2B.

REGISTRATION LOCATION: Same as the Start/Finish point.

REGISTRATION TIME: Day of the event, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

EVENT AWARD: There will be no special award ("A" award) for this walk.

This event will be held regardless of weather conditions. There will be no refund for those not showing up or not completing the events.

ELIGIBILITY: Everyone is eligible. Children under 12 must bring an adult. Pets must be on a leash at all times and controlled.

WATER/RESTROOMS: Water will be available at the Start/Finish. It is strongly recommended you carry water while on the trail. Restrooms will be available at the Start/Finish Point.

FOOD: Available at restaurants in the area.
